World number five women's singles badminton player May Ratchanok Intanon shared a clip of herself serving as the three-minute board holder before the TSS The Super Series by B-Quik 2026 at Chang International Circuit in Buriram. The 31-year-old traveled to watch the race before being invited to perform the pre-race duty, walking the grid with a shy, bashful demeanor. May posted the clip with a caption reading: 'I was more nervous than in the finals I've played this year. First and last time ever 555555. But I'll never forget it. Thanks to the kind organizers and all the lovely brothers and sisters who made this dream come true. (So this is what holding the board feels like.) It would be a nightmare if I had to change into a race suit and walk out there — I'd feel bad for the drivers. Personally I like watching car racing, but never thought I'd do something like this. Totally bewildered. Sorry my walk wasn't graceful. I've rewatched it several times and laughed. Next time I'll come race myself. This round at TP12 got me good.'

Chart Pattana Party leader Pol. Lt. Col. Thawi Sodsong urged the government to activate existing National Security Council emergency plans and prepare the public for crises, emphasizing self-reliance for the first 72 hours.
