Media Association Delivers Flood Relief Supplies to Ayutthaya Villagers
The Thai Crime Journalists Association distributed over 500 relief packs and 1,300 meal boxes to flood‑affected villagers in Ayutthaya’s Phak Hai district on October 4. Led by President Wacharin Klinmali, the effort was coordinated with local village heads after many elderly residents struggled with high floodwaters and limited government aid. The association said it will keep supporting the community as needed.
On October 4, 2024, Wacharin Klinmali, president of the Thai Crime Journalists Association, together with Kosinth Thammahomawat of the Pho Thong Rescue Base, Chaiwat Sukksamrit, and a team of volunteers, brought more than 500 relief packs—each containing rice, dry food, and medicine—and 1,300 ready‑to‑eat meal boxes to villagers hit by flooding in the Tha Din Daeng and Lad Nam Khem sub‑districts of Phak Hai, Ayutthaya. The supplies were handed over to over 500 households. Wacharin explained that the association seeks to help society in every dimension, and the operation was launched after requests from the sub‑district heads. He noted that most of the victims are elderly people who find self‑relief difficult, especially given the deep floodwaters and the lack of attention from state agencies. The association also thanked Kosinth, Chaiwat, and the volunteers for their support in collecting and distributing the donations. Despite the ongoing hardships faced by flood victims, the group said it will continue to assist the community.
