CP and CPF Volunteers Deliver Food to Flood-Hit Thai Communities
CP and CPF volunteers have been delivering meals and supplies to flood‑affected communities across Bangkok and nearby provinces, including Samut Prakan, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao and Saraburi. Their efforts range from handing out chicken‑rice boxes to children to stocking community kitchens with eggs, meat and ready‑to‑eat foods, and helping with drainage work. The initiative aims to provide both nourishment and morale to families recovering from the floods.
Volunteers from CP and CPF distributed five‑star chicken rice boxes to children returning home from Khlong Chan Flat, noting that while a single meal may seem modest to the youngsters, it means much more for families cleaning up after the floodwaters recede. Over the past week, the volunteers have continued the ‘CP‑CPF Food from the Heart’ mission, delivering hot meals to residents, supplying raw ingredients to community kitchens, and cooperating with local authorities and neighborhoods in various areas. In Bangkok’s Ban Rajawadee Girls’ Home, a representative of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security accepted fresh eggs and chicken from CPF volunteers to support the ministry’s ‘Happy Center’ kitchen, which prepares meals for distribution across the capital. In Samut Prakan, volunteers from the Ban Na Egg Sorting Facility delivered fresh eggs to the volunteer kitchen in Green Valley Village, Bang Na, a locality that had been submerged for about a week, to help prepare food for residents unable to leave the area. Similar aid reached Prachinburi through the Poi Jacan Foundation, Chachoengsao’s Paet Riw pork processing plant and Village Health Volunteers, and Saraburi’s CP‑Meji team, which assembled relief packets, distributed milk and drinking water, and assisted with canal‑drainage efforts to mitigate further flooding.
