Khong Thao Police Station in Phuket confirmed on July 9, 2569, that their beloved mascot Luang Luang, a white cat, has been found and returned to the station. The cat had gone missing on June 30 after disappearing from the station premises, prompting the police to post an urgent appeal on Facebook that was widely shared by the public and numerous supporters.
After eight days of frantic searching by police and cat lovers alike, the station announced the good news: Luang Luang has reported back for duty. The station joked that upon checking leave records, the absence was under 15 days, so the cat's official position as "duty cat of Khong Thao Police Station" remains intact, with no disciplinary committee needed.
The search was successful thanks to a good citizen and a plant shop owner at Bang Cho junction who reported the cat's location to the station. Khong Thao Police Station expressed heartfelt gratitude to all pages, channels, and members of the public who shared information and helped with the search, which brought Luang Luang back to brighten the station once more. The station now welcomes visitors to come pet Luang Luang and receive comfort and stress relief from the furry mascot.
