Ms. Buluan Slajaneth, 36, has been found safe after going missing, having been located at Jomtien Beach living with a homeless group. Her younger brother spotted her and they embraced with tears of joy after being separated for a long time.
At 3 p.m. on August 4, 2026, Kan Jompluang, accompanied by Pol. Lt. Col. Anek Saratongai (Mueang Pattaya Police Chief) and other officers, launched a search operation in Jomtien Soi 3 along Jomtien Beach in Pattaya, Chonburi. They had received leads that the woman had been spotted in the area days earlier. Officers conducted foot patrols and interviewed residents, who reported seeing her walking through the soi in normal condition, which gave the search team hope.
Shortly after beginning their search, they found Ms. Buluan staying with three homeless individuals. Upon seeing her brother's face, she ran to embrace him, and both wept with joy after their long separation.
Ms. Buluan explained that her motorcycle was stolen and her mobile phone was lost, leaving her unable to contact anyone. She could not remember her family members' phone numbers, had no money, and did not know where to go. She therefore stayed with friends and homeless groups, making a living by collecting and selling bottles and gathering shellfish from the sea for food. She thanked her brother for his unwavering search efforts that led to their reunion.
Kan Jompluang expressed great satisfaction that the search was successful and the missing person was alive. He thanked officers from Bang Lamung and Mueang Pattaya police stations for their coordinated efforts in locating her. The woman will now be taken home for medical treatment and recovery.
