September 28, 2026 — At Government House, Worasit Liangprasitthikul, Deputy Minister of Interior, discussed the current flooding situation in Bangkok. He noted that areas around Khlong Charn, Rom Klao, and Lad Krabang have large concentrations of people, requiring urgent food supply distribution. Field kitchens are being deployed to the most heavily requested zones, and mobile toilets from local municipalities are being gradually brought in to serve residents.
For any shortages, district directors across Bangkok have been ordered to quickly survey their areas and coordinate relief efforts. Mobile toilets will be dispatched as quickly as possible to cover any gaps. The Ministry is in constant contact with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, though the flooding is scattered across many areas, making coordination complex. District directors have been asked to report any remaining needs immediately.
When asked about the overall situation, Worasit stated that conditions are beginning to improve. Bangkok has been draining water continuously for three to four days, and if rainfall follows the forecast and does not increase, water levels should recede.
