Three Chefs Face Tough Challenge: Making Veggies Cool for Picky Kids
Three Master Chef champions compete on a cooking show to create vegetable-based snacks that appeal to picky children, preparing dishes from broccoli, pumpkin, carrot, tomato, and spinach in just 60 minutes without pre-made seasonings.
Three accomplished chefs face off on the cooking show Ros Laek Ngern in a challenge launched by the Health Promotion Foundation: creating an appealing snack menu that will convince vegetable-averse children aged 10–12 to try and enjoy eating vegetables. The show, produced in partnership with Channel 7HD and Heliconya H Group, is hosted by chefs Golf-Sunya Thadathonwong and Off-Natthawut Thammaphan.
The three competing chefs are Ball Suchart Caichain from Master Chef Thailand Season 3, Chamliang Sriraksa from Master Chef Thailand Season 1, and Thanawat Sujit from Merchant War Season 2. They must create dishes using only broccoli, pumpkin, carrot, tomato, and spinach, preparing 24 servings of 200 grams each in just 60 minutes. The kitchen has no pre-made seasonings, forcing chefs to maximize flavor and nutrition from the raw ingredients alone.
A panel of judges will evaluate the dishes on taste, presentation, nutrition, and most importantly—whether the menu succeeds in changing children's attitudes toward vegetables. The episode airs Monday, September 28 at 6 p.m. on Channel 7HD (digital channel 35) and will be available on Netflix for replay.
