Mor Lam Throne Auditions Heat Up with Celebrity Judges
Six contestants compete for a spot in a mor lam boy group across two nights of auditions this week, with legendary judges including mor lam queen Nok Noi Uraiporn evaluating performers from northeastern Thailand.
The Mor Lam Throne talent competition kicks off this week with two full days of performances as legendary mor lam queen Nok Noi Uraiporn and group leader Boy Sirichai join resident judges Sunari Ratchasima, Bel Pathumrach, and Bank Rattawitch Anantporsiri. Host Euro Yodwannathan will oversee six contestants competing for a spot on the Mor Lam Boy Group path. On Thursday, September 17, three competitors will perform: Piao Ekkarachai from Khon Kaen, a former athlete who discovered his passion during COVID; Than Thirawatch, also from Khon Kaen, who has performed mor lam internationally in over 10 countries; and Puter Patcharapol from Udon Thani, determined to preserve the northeastern tradition. Friday, September 18 features three more hopefuls: Ropthailand Thawilwongse from Khon Kaen, who studies and works while pursuing his late grandmother's dream of seeing him on television; Art Wongsakorn from Buriram, who grew up singing under his father's influence; and 16-year-old Kor Thanakorn from Khon Kaen, seeking his first television appearance and fan base. The show airs at 6 p.m. on Channel 7HD both nights.
