Muangthong United to Face Royal Navy in Thai Cup Playoffs
Muangthong United will face Royal Navy FC and Udon Bannajan United will host Police Tero FC in the Thai Cup playoff draw. The draw, held on October 7, set the matchups for the 32 qualifiers from Thai League 2 and 3, with winners advancing to meet Thai League 1 sides in November. The champion wins 5 million baht and a spot in the ASEAN Club Championship.
Muangthong United, a Thai League 2 club, will travel to face Royal Navy FC, while Udon Bannajan United will host Police Tero FC in the Thai Cup qualifying round. On October 7, Ekaphol Phlonawi, secretary-general of the Football Association of Thailand, and Manoon Utthakawari, deputy secretary-general, attended the draw for the 2026-27 Thai Cup playoffs. The tournament includes 79 clubs: 16 from Thai League 1, 14 from Thai League 2, and 49 from Thai League 3. The qualifying rounds have ended, with 32 teams advancing.
The 32 qualifiers consist of 18 Thai League 3 sides: Phichit United 2025, Chiangmai FC, Khonkaen FC, Udon Bannajan United, Isan Fighter FC, Royal Navy FC, Burapha United, Chachoengsao Hi-Tech FC, Praew City, Pluakdaeng United, Singburi Warrior, Ayutthaya PK FC, Bangkok FC, Thapluang United, Phetchaburi PBURY FC, Samut Sakhon City, Nakhon Si United, and FC Yala (PSU Surat Thani City).
