Music News – ATLAS Keeps the Momentum Rolling with New Single 'Tell Me Now'

Boy band ATLAS releases new single "Tell Me Now," a trap-hard rock blend exploring undefined relationships, with member ERWIN contributing to the rap verses and producer JAP the Richman Toy returning after their previous hit.

14 May Khaosod

Following the success of 'MOVE YA BODY,' the six-member boy band ATLAS is pushing forward relentlessly with their new single 'Tell Me Now,' once again collaborating with golden-touch producer JAP the Richman Toy.

Another key highlight is that ERWIN from ATLAS contributed to writing the rap verses for this track, strengthening the group's distinct identity. 'Tell Me Now' blends Trap and Hard Rock styles, featuring heavy and aggressive musicality that conveys a story of an ambiguous relationship—intense closeness yet lacking clear definition—culminating in raw, straightforward questions about the relationship's true nature.

The music video is directed by Directornet and features Paeng Jee Phavawin, an actress under Mine Media Production who recently debuted in the series 'CLAIREBELL คลั่ง/รัก/นักโศณ,' in the lead role. Fans can stream 'Tell Me Now' on all major music streaming platforms and watch the music video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/9Db0hgWL8Wg?si=dN3FbmXN4og0TzjW

Abusive Husband Claims He Beat Mistress After She Denied Affair at Hotel, Leading to Her Death

A man surrendered to police in Bangkok with his mistress's body in his car, claiming he beat her after she admitted to visiting a love hotel with another man, but denied intending to kill her.

14 May Khaosod

At 10:00 AM on May 14, 2569, Winai, 40, drove his Toyota Altis bearing Bangkok registration to a lodging near Bang Bua Thong police station to surrender to authorities, bringing the body of the deceased in his vehicle.

The body was found sitting in the front passenger seat with the seat reclined. She wore a gray short-sleeved t-shirt and pink shorts, with a blanket covering her waist area. Her face showed bruising around the eyes. She was later identified as Ms. Joy.

Winai was brought in for initial questioning. He claimed the deceased was his mistress and they lived together in a rented room near Bang Pho. He said he later discovered she was secretly seeing another man—he claimed to have seen them embracing and touching intimately near a motorcycle shop, which didn't look like coworker behavior.

On the third occasion, Winai confronted her, asking if she had ever checked into a love hotel with someone else. She denied it, but he insisted he had seen both of them enter a hotel together and even knew which one. She then admitted to going to a love hotel just once.

Winai claimed his anger made him lose control. He said he hit and kicked her to vent his emotions, after which they went to sleep normally. The next morning when he woke up, he found her body stiff and lifeless. He decided to put her in his car and drive to the police station to turn himself in, saying he never intended for her to die.

Tips for Spotting Genuine Family-Owned Cars in Excellent Condition on Used Car Websites

Gurumalist offers buyers practical tips for identifying genuine family-owned vehicles on used car websites, including photo analysis and seller verification, to avoid fraud and secure reliable vehicles with documented maintenance histories.

14 May Khaosod

Finding a quality used car in good working condition is the main goal for most buyers, especially genuine family cars in pristine condition. However, purchasing through online channels carries risks that could lead to poor purchasing decisions. This article provides guidance from Gurumalist, Thailand's leading online used car trading platform, offering in-depth techniques for identifying and screening authentic family-owned vehicles online to help buyers select safe, legitimate vehicles that offer genuine value for money.

What is a Genuine Family Car?

In the automotive industry, a "family car" refers to a vehicle purchased by owners for personal daily use—such as commuting to work, driving children to school, or family vacations—with consistent personal maintenance. This differs completely from heavily-used vehicles like fleet cars (corporate rentals), deregistered taxis, or auction cars that have undergone intensive use.

Advantages of Genuine Family-Owned Vehicles

The primary reason these vehicles are highly popular is their reliability regarding usage history, with notable advantages including:

Genuine Mileage Not Tampered With: Kilometer readings typically correspond to the vehicle's age and actual usage.

Exterior and Interior in Good Condition: The body, plastic parts, and leather seats remain intact according to the age of the vehicle, without deterioration from heavy use.

Clear Maintenance History: Original owners typically took their vehicles for regular service checks at authorized centers or trusted workshops, making it possible to verify the maintenance history transparently.

Complete Engine and Suspension: Good maintenance results in the transmission, engine, and suspension systems operating at full efficiency.

Reduced Risk of Unexpected Repairs: New buyers can use the vehicle with confidence without worrying about costly repairs shortly after purchase.

Five Techniques for Spotting and Screening "Genuine Family Cars" Online

Searching for vehicles in the digital age starts on smartphone screens. Having the skill to properly screen initial information is the first step that helps save time and protect your wallet from fraudsters.

1. Observe Photos and Backgrounds

Photographs tell many stories. Pictures of genuine family cars are typically taken from real-life locations such as the owner's driveway, a parking garage, or a workplace parking lot. These photos are usually taken with ordinary mobile phone cameras, not professionally lit or edited to look like studio photography. Additionally, observe the surrounding elements in the photos. If there are small personal items in the cabin, child car seats, or a background that looks like a typical residential neighborhood, these are good initial indicators that the vehicle is likely used for family purposes.

2. Check the Seller's Tone and History

Actual car owners typically write descriptions honestly and straightforwardly, clearly specifying any scratches, recent tire replacements, or work that needs to be done. The language used sounds natural, like ordinary conversation. An important red flag is to search the seller's name, phone number, or LINE ID online. If you find this contact information posting advertisements for dozens of cars simultaneously across various models, it suggests the person may not be a genuine family car owner but rather a middleman or broker.

3. Request to Check the Vehicle Documents

The Number 77 Appears Two Consecutive Drawings in a Row - Toffee Follows Lucky Number 7 Every Time - Will It Come Again on May 16, 2026? This Is Giving Chills

Lottery predictor Toffee Shiwadol reveals his lucky numbers for Thailand's May 16, 2026 drawing after the number 77 appeared in consecutive lottery draws, citing his devotion to the "alien number" 7 and spiritual guidance.

14 May Khaosod

The number 77 has appeared in two consecutive lottery drawings, and lottery predictor Toffee Shiwadol—also known as Toffee 350 or Toffee Kaokala—who regularly follows the number 7 and frequently wins, appeared on the Lottery Current program to reveal the lucky numbers for the May 16, 2026 drawing. Toffee shared personal beliefs that he is not an ordinary earthly being, a statement that other celebrities have also started openly discussing, explaining that when they speak about such things, their work becomes difficult because people label them as crazy or insane. Toffee has devoted his life to the number 7, which he believes is an alien number (angle number 1117). He buys lottery tickets with number 7 every drawing, mentioning that number 17 is universally recognized as the alien number and appears repeatedly in significant events worldwide. Previously, Toffee was confident that numbers 1 and 7 would appear together, and the drawing resulted in 77—though he had purchased 17 over 50 times. Toffee has made an offering at Phra Phong Snake Shrine on Rama 2 Road, vowing to donate 1,000 boiled eggs if his movie receives 30 million baht. After card reading with Aj. Chanya and receiving the same card he had drawn before, plus discovering the number 72 on it, Toffee concluded that this drawing's winning three-digit number should be 117. He also mentioned receiving a water bottle with the number 350, so he is keeping that number as well for the upcoming drawing.

Government Reports 121,921 Online Crime Cases in First Four Months of 2025, Totaling 7.4 Billion Baht in Damages

Thailand's Anti-Online Fraud Center reported 121,921 cybercrimes causing 7.4 billion baht in damages during the first four months of 2025, with investment scams proving most costly despite product fraud being most common.

14 May Khaosod

On May 14, 2025, Deputy Government Spokesman Ploythale Luksameesangjun stated that the government continues to actively combat online crime as part of its policy to prevent and address security and social threats, particularly by blocking illegal social media pages and websites to cut off criminal channels used by organized scammers.

The Anti-Online Fraud Center (ACSC) released analysis of 121,921 reported online crime cases between January 1 and April 30, 2025, with total damages of 7.48 billion baht. The scams fall into three main categories:

1. Product and service fraud accounted for the highest number of cases at 85,215 (69.9% of all cases), with average damage of 15,727 baht per case. Cases peaked in March 2025 with 22,908 cases causing 353.3 million baht in damages before declining to 20,823 cases in April causing 288.3 million baht in damages, reflecting seasonal effects and warning campaign results.

2. Investment and profit fraud schemes caused the highest damage at 5,997.7 million baht (80.2% of total damages), with average loss per case of 166,449 baht—roughly 10 times higher than product fraud. These cases showed a continuous declining trend, dropping from 10,146 cases in January to 6,642 cases in April, a 34.5% decrease over four months, reflecting ACSC operations and strict law enforcement.

3. Technical attacks and other technology fraud involved the fewest cases at 673 (0.55% of total), but had the highest average damage per case at 211,686 baht. March saw concerning growth with 385 cases causing 87.7 million baht in damages, primarily from large-scale phishing and hacking incidents as well as ransomware attacks with high per-case values.

The government urges the public not to click suspicious links or fill in information from unsolicited messages on any platform, and to verify the legitimacy of any organization claiming official status by contacting their head office first. Before any transaction or investment, check with SEC first to verify company legitimacy and thoroughly verify recipient account details before transferring money. Most importantly, stay vigilant and never transfer money based on suspicious solicitations.

Parliament Members Push Commerce Ministry to Regulate Online Platform Fees After Small Sellers Face Heavy Profit Cuts

Parliament members are urging the Commerce Ministry to regulate soaring online platform fees that are slashing small merchants' profits, with some sellers paying up to 30% commission on sales compared to the original 2-3% rates.

14 May Khaosod

Parliament members are calling on the Commerce Ministry to regulate online platform fees after small merchants have been hit with heavy profit margins. During a 9:00 a.m. session on May 14, 2026 at Parliament, with Sophon Sarum presiding, members discussed the government's approach to setting commission rates on various online platforms, which is currently having a severe impact on people earning their living online.

Jury Num Gaeo, a Democratic Party member from Songkhla, raised concerns about the state's direction and measures regarding commission fees, or "GP fees," on online platforms. He emphasized that earning through online platforms has become a vital artery of Thailand's economy, but the growing problem is the constantly rising fee caps that the government cannot control.

Jury noted that platform commission fees are essentially a "booth rental" or "market head fee" that merchants must bear. He illustrated the impact with an example: if someone sells 100 baht worth of goods, they now must pay 30 baht in platform fees. For 1 million baht in sales, platforms take 300,000 baht—compared to the original free model.

Having been involved in online commerce from the beginning, Jury observed that when platforms once charged only 2-3%, they now constantly increase rates, with all profits ultimately flowing to the platform. He cited a notable example: a seller earned 2.1 million baht but had to pay the platform 700,000 baht, something entirely beyond their control.

Jury warned of deeper consequences extending beyond merchants to consumers. When sellers earn smaller profits, they must cut costs by reducing raw material quality, ultimately affecting product standards and creating a cascading problem for the future.

Jury urged the Commerce Ministry and related agencies to take action. He stated that if they can accept online merchants and OTOP vendors gradually collapsing one by one, they need do nothing. However, if they wish to prevent this growing crisis, they must regulate GP fees and platform commissions to fair levels proportionate to product percentages and categories.

Jackson Acknowledges Buriram's Heavy Losses as Two Key Players Face Championship Final Ban

Buriram United advanced to the AFC Champions League Cup final despite losing key players Bissoli and Causic to suspension, with coach Jackson acknowledging their absence will significantly impact the team ahead of the May 13 final against S

14 May Khaosod

Buriram United coach Mark Jackson admitted the club has suffered heavy damage without striker Guilherme Bissoli and midfielder Goran Causic for the AFC Champions League Cup final. In the Shopee Cup 2025/26 semi-final second leg, Buriram United played at home for 120 minutes but lost 1-2 to Malaysian side Johor Darul Ta'zim. However, Buriram progressed to the final with a 4-3 aggregate victory on May 13. During that match, both Bissoli and Causic received red cards, leaving them unavailable for the final against Malaysian club Selangor FC.

After the match, Jackson stated: "I'm proud of how the team played with full commitment. Overall, we performed well in the first half but made mistakes that led to goals conceded. Losing a goal late in the first half damaged us significantly."

"I told the players at halftime that no match is decided in the first 45 minutes. I've been with this squad for some time now, and we've shown multiple times that when facing difficult situations, we can overcome them. We fall, but we get back up. The players performed exceptionally well."

"We're disappointed to lose two quality players, and their absence will significantly hurt us. However, we'll find solutions because we have good depth, and this gives other players opportunities. But I'm concerned about losing Bissoli and Causic to suspension. It's my responsibility and the team's to prepare everyone properly."

"Playing abroad presents many challenges already. I appreciate the information about this stadium with its larger-than-normal grass pitch. My staff and I have worked hard, monitoring weather conditions and analyzing other factors."

"Johor Darul Ta'zim is an excellent team that made today's match outstanding. We prepared well and anticipated how our opponents would play. Although we wanted more possession in the first half, aside from the goals conceded, our defensive performance was excellent. As the match progressed, we grew stronger. I'm satisfied with the players' physical and mental condition—I believe every player can fall, but none will surrender."

"It was a physically intense match. Our players received 6 yellow cards and 2 red cards. While cards were given, I believe all our players showed discipline, though I'll review the incidents involving our yellow and red cards."

Goalscorer Kingsley Schindler said: "Losing two important players affects the team, but we'll find ways to play and advance to the final. I'm very happy with my goal—it shows the team's unity that got us here."

"I have confidence in all my teammates. We've faced situations like this before. Everyone showed fighting spirit on the pitch, and the coach provided excellent guidance. The players worked together well. I think our fans should be very proud that the team made it to the final."
