Myanmar Contestant Wins Media Favorite at Phuket Beauty Pageant
Aung Min Thu from Myanmar won the Reporter's Favorite Award at the Mister International 2026 pageant in Phuket, impressing judges and media during the swimsuit competition on September 19th.
Aung Min Thu, known as Yu Gan, a 23-year-old Mister International Myanmar 2026 contestant, created a sensation at The Bay shopping center in Phuket during the swimsuit competition on September 19th. Each time he appeared on stage, his firm physique and charming smile won over audiences and media alike, earning him the Reporter's Favorite Award and beating more than 50 other Mister International 2026 contestants worldwide in the swimsuit competition.
Aung Min Thu, 23, is studying mechanical engineering and works as an actor, model, and mental health first aid volunteer and suicide prevention advocate. With a background in swimming, skateboarding, running, marathon, and breakdancing, he combines analytical thinking, creativity, discipline, and empathy. Regarding his Mister International 2026 entry, Yu Gan stated he is not only pursuing the title but viewing it as an opportunity to be a voice for change, promoting emotional awareness, inspiration, and personal elevation, in line with his personal motto: "True power is silent; true influence creates change."
Whether Aung Min Thu will secure the Mister International 2026 title will be decided on September 26, 2025, at MCC Hall, The Mall Life Store, in Bangkok.
