Din Daeng police took Mr. Bee, a 23-year-old Myanmar man, into custody for detention after he strangled Ms. Chutikarn, a 20-year-old Thai woman, to death in a dormitory in the Din Daeng area. Police tracked and arrested him at a gas station in Bang Pa-in district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, while he was fleeing. During initial questioning the suspect confessed, claiming he committed the murder because he was addicted to drugs and was experiencing drug-induced hallucinations.
At 2:00 p.m. on November 2, 2026, at Din Daeng Police Station, investigators brought Mr. Bee from the holding cell into a prisoner transport vehicle to take him to the Ratchadaphisek Criminal Court to request detention on charges of "intentional murder and Category 1 narcotic use (methamphetamine)," while simultaneously opposing bail.
Reporters on the scene said that as police were putting Mr. Bee into the transport vehicle, relatives and acquaintances of the deceased tried to rush the suspect and harm him, but officers managed to restrain them and keep the situation under control.
The body of Ms. Chutikarn will be held for a three-day merit-making and chanting ceremony before cremation at Wat Phromwongsaram, also known as Wat Luang Pho Noen Sala 3, with the first day of rites beginning today.
