Channel One 31 and the oneD app present the original series Klueang, a premium drama about investigation and revenge that draws inspiration from traditional Thai massage science and weaves it into a thrilling plot about ordinary people fighting the powerful through secret massage techniques. The show explores themes of dark money and corruption infiltrating Thai society.
Written by Pimmarata Patthanolongkorn and Thongchai Thanarujanon, and directed by San Srikaowlo and Thongchai Thanarujanon, Klueang marks the first leading-role pairing of Charlotte Wasita Hemmeanu and Thane Myron. Charlotte plays Hattha, a quiet Phuket woman with a degree in traditional Thai medicine, flexible and strong from yoga and rigorous training, skilled in therapeutic massage and pressure-point strikes. Thane plays Phat, a tall, skilled fighter and marksman with a weakness: flat feet that cause severe cramping during prolonged standing or walking.
The supporting cast includes Ake Thapaset as Khru Tim, a revered massage instructor with iron-hard tendons and a signature cane concealing hidden weapons; Dom Hetrakul as Krich, a former police chief turned politician; Kong Withaya as Whale, a sensitive-nosed perfume competition winner who grew up with Hattha; Lin Matchanote as Muk, an orphan raised by Khru Tim and used as a massage dummy; Wanchana Sawasdee as Kor, Hattha's paralyzed former massage therapist father; Phlang Loksit as Tong Yang, a ruthless mafia boss; and Not Voraphruetthi as Mor In, an ancient bone-setter and bamboo splint specialist. The series airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 20:30, beginning September 28.
