Two off-duty doctors from Nakhon Pathom Hospital are being praised for saving a man who collapsed while jogging at the Nakhon Pathom Waterworks Park on October 21 at 6:17 PM. The man, aged 45-50, suddenly lost consciousness and fell on the running track, startling other exercisers. Dr. Punyanit Bupphawong and Dr. Athip Yangyuddee, who happened to be jogging nearby, immediately performed CPR and used an installed automated external defibrillator (AED) to deliver one shock, successfully restoring the man's heartbeat. The Nakhon Pathom Hospital 1669 emergency medical team then took over and transported the patient for cardiac catheterization. After receiving prompt first aid, the man is now in stable condition. The incident has drawn widespread public praise for the doctors' quick thinking and professionalism, even while off duty. It highlights the critical importance of CPR knowledge, accessible AEDs, and immediate bystander intervention in improving survival rates for sudden cardiac arrest.
