It is quite a special moment for Park Hang-seo, the new South Korean coach of Phlangkanchon FC, as he brought a signed jersey of Son Heung-min, the South Korean football star, to present to the daughter of the club's chairman. Phlangkanchon FC, a team competing in Thailand League 2 for the 2026-27 season, has appointed Park Hang-seo, a South Korean coach and former Vietnam national team coach, as its new head coach. During the Thai League break, Park Hang-seo held the position of general manager for South Korea's national team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. However, South Korea was eliminated in the first round after earning only 3 points, leading Park Hang-seo to resign from that position and immediately take on his full-time role as Phlangkanchon's head coach. The experienced South Korean coach did not arrive empty-handed, bringing with him a signed match jersey of Son Heung-min, South Korea's team captain and forward, to present to Pimchanok Kitthammakul, the daughter of club chairman Dr. Prawit Kitthammakul.
