PM Postpones Cabinet Dinner To Attend Norway King's State Funeral

On September 5 in Ratchaburi Province, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul explained that the cabinet dinner scheduled for September 6 has been postponed because he must depart on September 7 to pay respects to the late King Harald V of Norway in an official capacity representing the Thai government. When asked if the meal would be rescheduled for next week, the Prime Minister said no new date has been determined. He dismissed suggestions that the current political situation made the dinner unnecessary, stating the gathering has nothing to do with political circumstances—the coalition parties simply wanted an informal setting to discuss matters after six months together in government, but an important state mission takes priority.
