PM Says No Rush on Cabinet Reshuffle
Prime Minister Anuthech Chhaiyaweerakul said he is in no rush to reshuffle his cabinet, while defending a Kla Thum legislator's attendance at a rival party MP's birthday celebration in Suphan Buri.
On August 1 at Baan Ruean Thai in Suphan Buri, Prime Minister Anuthech Chhaiyaweerakul and Interior Minister gave an interview regarding Natthachat Wongpraserit, a Kla Thum party legislator from Suphan Buri, attending the birthday celebration of Praphat Pothasudon, a Phumijai Thai party MP from the same province. Anuthech remarked that today marks Praphat's birthday and that he is beloved and respected throughout Suphan Buri, asking journalists to stop asking "nitpicky" questions. He stated that the real question should be about fostering unity and love, and praised the Kla Thum party legislator for showing kindness and goodwill in coming to celebrate Praphat's birthday. When asked whether Phumijai Thai would retain all parliamentary seats from Suphan Buri in the next election, Anuthech said simply that "competition is competition." When pressed on whether a cabinet reshuffle would occur soon, Anuthech replied good-naturedly that he would "go slowly" with reshuffles.
