Po Tek Tung Foundation Distributes Career Equipment to 74 Vulnerable Families

Po Tek Tung Foundation distributed vocational equipment worth 982,800 baht to 74 vulnerable individuals in Sisaket Province, including women, men, single fathers, and people of diverse sexual orientation and gender identity. The distribution ceremony was presided over by Taweesak Songyu, Deputy Governor of Sisaket Province, alongside officials from the Northeast Women and Family Development Learning Center and other partner organizations.

Simultaneously, the foundation deployed a mobile medical unit staffed by volunteer doctors, paramedics, rescue teams, and volunteers to provide free general health screening, medications, dental care, eyeglass distribution, and haircut services to local residents at the Northeast Women and Family Development Learning Center in Sisaket Province.

Sirikul Ophasvong, the foundation's director and secretary, stated that the Career Promotion Program for Women and Families aims to provide vocational equipment to skilled but impoverished individuals lacking resources to start their own businesses. The initiative partnered with 12 women and family development centers and vocational protection centers across Thailand, including locations in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Ratchasima, Songkhla, Surat Thani, Sisaket, Khon Kaen, Lamphun, Lampang, Chiang Rai, and Phitsanulok.

The foundation expressed hope that this program will support job creation, generate income, reduce social inequality, and contribute to sustainable national development.
