Immigration police raided two warehouses in Samut Sakhon, seizing large amounts of counterfeit cosmetics sold via online platforms. Six foreign suspects—including Chinese, Myanmar nationals and stateless persons—were arrested for trademark violations and illegal work. The investigation is ongoing as authorities process the seized goods and expand the case.
Acting under the direction of senior immigration police officials, officers from the Immigration Bureau and Samut Sakhon provincial immigration executed search warrants numbered 590/2569 and 591/2569 dated 9 October 2026 on two warehouses located at 37/33 Bang Pla Road, Nadi Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samut Sakhon. The raid uncovered a large quantity of fake cosmetics and trademark-infringing goods. Six foreign suspects were apprehended: one Chinese, three Myanmar nationals, and two stateless individuals. Authorities seized the premises and some evidence for forensic examination, and filed complaints against the owners for selling counterfeit cosmetics and possessing goods with fake trademarks. The foreigners were also charged with working without a permit and changing employers without notification within 15 days. Preliminary investigation showed the group prepared and shipped the products to customers who ordered through major online platforms such as Shopee, Lazada and TikTok, using promotions like free shipping and extra gifts to boost sales. Police continue to process the evidence and expand the investigation to pursue further legal action.
