Teen Claims 15-Minute Death After Drug Overdose, Shares Experience
A 19-year-old Thai man claims he was clinically dead for 15 minutes after a drug overdose, describing the experience as a deep, empty sleep without any light or presence. He says his brother performed CPR until paramedics arrived, after an initial naloxone mistake delayed resuscitation. After weeks in a coma and rehabilitation, he has returned to work and warns others about the dangers of drugs.
The teenager recounts that he lost consciousness after using drugs at home in front of his 17-year-old brother, who immediately began chest compressions. During the episode he coughed up a black foreign object before inhaling it into his lungs, worsening the crisis. Emergency crews eventually arrived and, after a second naloxone injection, detected a faint pulse. He remained in a coma for three to four weeks, followed by physical therapy, before returning to work at a local eatery. He says the ordeal taught him a costly lesson about drug use, though he still uses cannabis occasionally, and he encourages anyone facing a drug-related emergency to seek medical help and be honest about substances taken, providing hotline numbers for addiction support.
