Police Launch Crime Sweep Ahead of World Bank Meeting
Police Region 4 launched a crime-sweeping operation at Huamark Indoor Stadium on September 23 to boost security ahead of the World Bank and IMF annual meetings in Thailand.
Police Region 4 launched a coordinated crime-sweeping operation and readiness campaign on September 23, 2025, at approximately 4 p.m. at the Huamark Indoor Stadium forecourt. Police Region 4 Commander General Kampanart Arunkirirojna, together with Chaiwut Phuengtong, chairman of the Huamark Police Station, multiple deputy commanders, and related officers participated in the operation to enhance security and traffic management in preparation for the annual meeting of the World Bank Board of Governors and the International Monetary Fund in 2025. The comprehensive security initiative aimed to ensure excellent hosting of international guests, maintain strict law enforcement across various sectors, build public confidence, and reassure both Thai nationals and foreign visitors to Thailand.
