Police from Region 5 Narcotics Suppression Bureau teamed with Santisai Police raided a luxury home belonging to the wife of a well-known local politician after receiving information about a drug-laced birthday party. At 12:30 p.m. on October 7, 2026, senior officers including Pol. Lt. Gen. Prachaya Prasansuk, Pol. Maj. Gen. Thawatchai PhongwiwatanaChai, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Yuthana Kaenchang ordered the narcotics suppression unit of Region 5 Police and Santisai Police to conduct the raid. Upon arrival, officials confirmed the house belonged to the politician's wife. Officers disguised themselves as delivery riders, entered the premises, and signaled the raid when they saw the party underway. They found nine men and twelve women, total 21 people, drinking and using drugs. Officers seized quantities of ketamine, ecstasy, and ice. All 21 individuals were taken for drug testing and questioned about the source of the narcotics. Preliminary investigation shows the drugs were purchased online, with the group arranging rotating parties at entertainment venues and private homes. Police said they will continue to expand the investigation.
