Teachers File Complaint Against Ratchaburi School Principal
3d ago Khaosod

Teachers in Ratchaburi have filed a formal complaint requesting investigation into their school principal over allegations of late work attendance, irregular school fund disbursement, and inappropriate behavior toward female staff, with his office isolated by curtains and dark stickers.

On July 13, 2025, the Ratchaburi Primary Education District 2 office disclosed that in early 2025, teachers at a Ratchaburi school submitted a joint complaint requesting investigation into their principal. The allegations include poor timekeeping—arriving late and leaving early—lack of engagement in duties, remaining in an air-conditioned office playing with his phone, and showing no concern for teacher responsibilities.

Teachers also accused the principal of non-transparent procurement practices, including a case where old roof tiles from building repairs were removed and sold, with proceeds not returning to the school. Educational equipment purchases were made at stores outside the province, preventing teachers from selecting appropriate materials and inflating costs. School funds were retained personally for months, with irregular cooperative store fund handling and improper charity donations.

Additionally, complaints alleged inappropriate conduct toward female staff. The principal renovated his office, installing full curtains and opaque stickers on the door, making female teachers feel uncomfortable when called to meet with him. He reportedly calls female teachers outside school hours late into the night for document signing, and has even called them to meet outside school, requiring them to sit in his car. Some teachers' husbands have already lodged separate complaints with the district office.

When contacted, teachers reported that months after filing complaints, there has been no meaningful progress. No serious investigation committee has been formed—only a preliminary fact-finding team from the district has conducted cursory interviews without gathering substantial evidence, and mediation has been attempted instead. Teachers are calling on Ratchaburi Primary Education District 2 to handle the matter justly.

Severe Flooding, High Waves Warned Through July 15
3d ago Khaosod

The Thai Meteorological Department issued its 10th bulletin on July 13, 2025, warning of strong winds in the Andaman Sea and upper Gulf of Thailand, plus heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in the southern west coast, western central region, and eastern region through July 15. Southwest monsoons will intensify across the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand during July 13–15, generating waves 2–4 meters high in the upper Andaman, exceeding 4 meters in thunderstorm areas. In the upper Gulf and lower Andaman, waves will reach 2–3 meters, exceeding 3 meters where thunderstorms occur. Fishers are urged to navigate with extreme caution, avoid thunderstorm zones, and keep small boats ashore during this period.

Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is expected in the southern west coast, western central region, and eastern region on July 13–14, particularly in Ranong, Phang Nga, Chanthaburi, Trat, and Kanchanaburi provinces. Residents should prepare for flash flooding and flash floods, especially in foothill areas near waterways and low-lying zones.

Tropical storm Bavi, now over China's Anhui Province, will weaken into a depression and later a low-pressure system. It will not enter Thailand and poses no direct threat, but it will intensify the southwest monsoon already covering the country. The department urged the public to plan travel and daily activities carefully and monitor weather updates at tmd.go.th or by calling 0-2399-4012-13 and 1182. The next bulletin will be issued on July 13 at 5:00 p.m.

Silaaengain Faces Wutidetch in Main Event at Tawan Arena

Technical specialist Silaaengain faces rising knee striker Wutidetch in Monday's main event at Tawan Arena, with the 20-year-old prospect favored despite Silaaengain's superior recent form and tactical refinement.

Silaaengain Faces Wutidetch in Main Event at Tawan Arena
3d ago Khaosod

The main event of the Muay Thai Alliance show on Monday, July 13 at Tawan Arena features a clash between technical specialist Silaaengain and rising knee striker Wutidetch. The 23-year-old from Lanna Waterside Muay Thai Gym in Phatthalung will square off against the 20-year-old prospect from Team Todded 99 in Nakhon Ratchasima, with Wutidetch favored slightly due to his freshness and size advantage.

Analyzing recent form, Silaaengain has competed at the national level and in championship bouts, though he recently fell short on points in a 130-pound title attempt at Siam Muay Arena. Despite the loss, his overall form remains sharp and tactically refined, notably including a points victory over Luknimit Sinkhlongsee—an opponent Wutidetch previously lost to. In contrast, Wutidetch's recent form took a hit with a knockout loss in the third round last month, making this fight crucial for rebuilding confidence and reputation.

The expected strategy will pit Wutidetch's size and relentless knee attacks against Silaaengain's technical footwork and precise counter-striking. If Wutidetch maintains distance he risks falling into Silaaengain's trap kicks and clinch exchanges, where the technical fighter's front-leg defense is formidable. However, if Silaaengain tires in the late rounds under sustained pressure, he faces the threat of Wutidetch's powerful knee finish. Fans will witness whether traditional muay thai skill or youthful strength prevails in this matchup.

The fight will be broadcast live on TrueVisions NOW starting at 6 p.m. Viewers can subscribe to the Now Muay Thai package to watch live broadcasts daily across all devices including mobile, tablet, Apple TV, Android TV, and Smart TV. The subscription costs 99 baht per month with coverage of 13 live shows weekly, Thai-language commentary from top broadcasters, and access to over 2,000 hours of archive content.
