Yasothon City Police intercepted a major drug shipment of 80 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine hidden in a pickup truck parked beside a resort room at Pho Chai in Roi Et province on August 12, 2025. Colonel Prasit Petchrat, commander of Yasothon City Police Station, together with Deputy Commander Lieutenant Colonel Suphon Sun, Major Singha Sutasuk, and Warrant Officer Sawat Sitthiphrai, led officers to surround the resort before searching the pickup truck parked beside the accommodation. Inside, they found crystal methamphetamine weighing 80 kilograms and seized one mobile phone.

The seizure followed intelligence that a large drug shipment was being smuggled into Yasothon using a gray four-door Chevrolet pickup. Officers set up checkpoints on main and secondary roads until locating the suspicious vehicle at Dong Sawang Resort in Saen Suk subdistrict, Phon Phisai district, Roi Et.

After waiting long without anyone removing the vehicle, officers conducted a search and discovered the crystal meth and a mobile phone inside. Police will question the vehicle's registered owner and pursue further investigation to identify and arrest other members of this drug trafficking network.
