Rajamangala University Honors Naming Day with Ceremony

Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin held its Naming Day ceremony on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Bua Sawan Auditorium in its Salaya campus, chaired by Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Udomvit Chaiyaskulkieat. The event was attended by university administrators, faculty, staff, students, and distinguished guests.

The ceremony included performances honoring the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, a procession bearing the university's royal emblem, and tributes expressing gratitude for His Majesty's benevolence. Participants took oaths of allegiance and paid respects to the King's portrait.

The seventh Nopratanrajamangal Award for 2026 was presented to outstanding individuals who have benefited society and the nation. Recipients included Virasak Chengdi (Bussarakam) and Khemnya Chinram (Muckdah) from Wangklaikangwan Campus; Wornsetsaphorn Rotthanyaphat (Thubthim) and Sarathorn Kulthailand (Emerald) from Buphitthiphimuk Chakravarthi; Chak Kanchanagarth (Diamond) and Watthanachoti Tungkathecha (Garnet) from Flower Gardening College; and Surasak Kaewjuntra (Sapphire), Kriangkrai Panthruadi (Aimarind), and Yuttaphumi Liditree (Petai) from the Salaya area.

All recipients are recognized as professionals who excel in their fields and consistently contribute to society. The ceremony also included a tribute to the late King by the student organization, reaffirming loyalty and gratitude for His Majesty's grace. The annual Naming Day event allows administrators, staff, and students to reflect on the King's benevolence and take pride in the name Rajamangala, a royal designation of great honor and blessing that has been cherished by the university community.
