Real Madrid Denies Interest In Signing Enzo Fernandez
Real Madrid has formally denied pursuing Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez despite transfer rumors suggesting the Argentine player wanted to join the Spanish club.
Real Madrid has issued an official statement categorically denying that the club has taken any steps or has any plans to sign Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea, contradicting recent transfer rumors. The Spanish La Liga giants clarified that they have not attempted, directly or indirectly, to negotiate a contract with the Argentine midfielder, nor do they intend to pursue such moves.
Fernandez has been reported wanting to leave Chelsea after the club missed out on European football qualification for next season. Transfer speculation suggested the player was keen on joining Real Madrid, with his agent hinting that a move to Spain was possible.
However, Madrid released a statement saying: "Regarding reports claiming the club is interested in Enzo Fernandez, the club wishes to clarify that it has not made any attempts, either directly or indirectly, to sign the player, nor does it have any intention to do so."
Chelsea had also confirmed previously that they have received no contact from Real Madrid regarding Fernandez. The London club has reportedly set the Argentine international's asking price at 120 million pounds for any interested buyers.
