His grandson, named Man, announced the sad news through Sahawat's Facebook page, stating that his uncle had passed away peacefully. The grandson posted: "Hello everyone, my name is Man, and I am the grandson of Uncle Sahawat. I'm writing to inform you that Uncle Sahawat has peacefully passed away. Regarding the preliminary arrangements, tomorrow (August 8, 2026) we will take Uncle Sahawat's body to Chet Wan in Lampang province in the afternoon. Contact number: 0919232892, Man." Fellow makeup artists expressed their grief, with one colleague, chartmakeup, sharing: "RIP Sahawat. I just saw you complaining of chest tightness and told you to see a doctor, but I never thought you would leave us so suddenly. We spoke just today, and it's shocking that you're gone. Rest well, my dear friend." Sahawat had posted about experiencing chest tightness just four days before his sudden death, writing on social media that he had woken up with an unusual chest tightness and suspected it was from rushing around the previous day.
