A motorcycle rider posted a video on social media on September 22, seeking help tracking a white four-door Isuzu pickup that accelerated and spewed black smoke while he was riding near the library intersection heading toward a municipal school in Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima. According to the post, the pickup driver appeared annoyed with the vehicle ahead, then revved hard enough to release a thick cloud of black smoke that fully engulfed the following motorcycle rider.
When the rider followed the pickup to ask about the behavior, video footage shows the driver responding dismissively and claiming to be a police sergeant, telling him to file a complaint if he had a problem.
The video sparked significant online criticism over the false police claim and the reckless driving that created black smoke on a public road. Authorities have not yet confirmed the driver's identity or police affiliation and are continuing to verify whether the person in the video is actually a police officer and to investigate all circumstances of the incident.
