Roi Et PB United’s assistant coach, Coach Pop Kacha Chanthawongseason, has publicly explained why the club terminated the contract of veteran defender Piyachan Darit, disputing the player’s claim that he was let down while recovering from surgery. He urged teammates to wait for an official club statement before responding to the controversy.
Assistant coach of Roi Et PB United, Coach Pop Kacha Chanthawongseason, posted a detailed rebuttal to defender Piyachan Darit’s claims that his contract was unfairly terminated. He wrote that after training he went home unable to sleep, and that a teammate nicknamed 'Pee No' had punched him in the chest six times, adding that Piyachan thought he had become famous. He said that following the Thai Cup match against Khon Kaen on September 13, Piyachan disappeared, saying he would undergo surgery but then stayed silent and was absent for nearly a month without providing a medical certificate or leave request. Coach Pop added that Piyachan had promised to visit the team but never showed up, repeatedly breaking his word, and that despite being appointed a senior player to help the team, he showed no improvement and opposed every idea, questioning his professionalism. He also alleged that Piyachan drank alcohol until morning almost every day. The coach urged teammates not to respond in the media until the club issues an official statement, saying that if anyone feels unfairly treated they should speak up, and concluded by saying he was tired and asking for support.
