Roi Et United Shareholder Urges End to Social Media Feud
A Roi Et United shareholder has urged the club and its player to stop attacking each other on social media and to seek a peaceful resolution. The call follows a dispute over the termination of player Piyachan Darit’s contract while he was recovering from surgery, which sparked angry posts from the player and criticism from the assistant coach. The shareholder said the club now operates with a collective decision‑making process and appealed for dialogue to end the feud.
Boss Book A-wut E-wa, a shareholder of Roi Et, said he has been trying to gather facts and listen to all parties, but the situation has escalated. He noted that while he used to have sole decision‑making power over the team, Roi Et now has multiple shareholders who agreed to focus on the team's interests, with a seven‑member disciplinary committee handling player signings and contract terminations. He added that, due to his business commitments, he is not always present at the club and must rely on the management team. He expressed concern over the current state of the team and urged everyone to sit down and talk, emphasizing his love for the club and its players. He acknowledged he lacks the authority to order anyone to stop, but warned that continuing the social media spat benefits no one and asked all parties to come together to resolve the dispute.
