Chai Pattana Foundation, partnering with The Mall Group, is hosting the 2025 Camelina Seed Oil Festival—"Pattrapan: The Marvel of Health Oil"—to educate the public about camelina seed oil's benefits and encourage its incorporation into daily cooking through food and health products. The festival runs from October 2–18 at M Market Hall, Level G, M Sphere shopping center.
At a press conference held September 21 at Sphere Gallery 1, Level M, Dr. Sumet Tantivetgul, senior board member and special advisor to Chai Pattana Foundation, demonstrated the preparation of stir-fried bean sprouts—a royal favorite dish—made with camelina seed oil. Dr. Nanthapon Phongratnamarn, a vascular surgeon and founder of the Doctor Top Longevity Facebook page, shared insights on anti-inflammatory foods, noting that excessive sugar consumption, stress, inadequate rest, and trans-fat intake may contribute to chronic inflammation and increase the risk of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). He recommended selecting nutritious foods for better health.
Ploy Chompoo Amapuch, head of supermarket merchandise at The Mall Group Company Limited, stated the company has collaborated with Chai Pattana Foundation for over 10 years. This year, they aim to expand awareness of camelina seed oil by partnering with leading restaurants to encourage consumers to incorporate it into their everyday cooking.
The festival features booth vendors selling Pattrapan brand products, camelina seed oil derivatives, and silk dyed with camelina seed husk, along with offerings from over 35 renowned and Michelin-level restaurants creatively using the ingredient. Notable participants include Mi By Khao Piao Sai, Gimnguan Fish Ball, Khun Yong Thong Fresh Roll, Matcha Ga, Tan Dee, and Soup & Salad By Gourmet Market x Dr. Top.
On October 7 at 2:30 p.m., HRH Princess Sirindhorn, honorary president and chairman of Chai Pattana Foundation, is scheduled to graciously inaugurate the festival and bestow a camelina seed oil recipe, followed by a demonstration of the dessert "Kanom Khang Khao" preparation.
Interested buyers can purchase Pattrapan camelina seed oil products at special festival prices and other related products at all Gourmet Market branches. Promotions and a lottery offering airline tickets are available for purchases meeting specified conditions.
