Ban Taluk Hin School in Sak Halek District, Phichit Province, covering four villages with over 41 students, had no classroom building and resorted to temporary lessons in a mango orchard owned by a local farmer near the school. The original four classrooms, built over 50 years ago, had deteriorated badly. A school administrator auctioned off the buildings and lacked budget for reconstruction.
On July 7, 2026, Vivat Polprasert, Director of the Phichit Primary Education Zone 1 Office, announced that the Education Ministry has approved over 500,000 baht to build a temporary knock-down structure. Engineers from the education office are currently designing the building. Once completed, it will be sent to the school for construction following specifications. In the meantime, students have been relocated to Taluk Hin Temple for classes.
Regarding the auctioned buildings that sold for 40,000 baht, the acting principal confirmed the funds were recorded as government revenue. The principal also stated uncertainty about the source of a 90,000 baht donation received by the school, which remains intact in the school account and requires the school committee's approval for withdrawal.
