Go Wholesale Boosts Stock for Thai Vegetarian Festival
Go Wholesale is increasing its stock of vegetables and other products to meet heightened demand for Thailand’s Jae Festival 2026, especially for made‑to‑order restaurants. Despite flooding affecting vegetable farms, the company is sourcing alternative supplies and partnering with brands to offer promotions that help lower costs for entrepreneurs. The effort coincides with a government‑backed ‘Thai Helps Thai’ festival launch projected to generate 46.9 billion baht in spending.
Go Wholesale (GO WHOLESALE), a fresh food ingredients wholesaler for entrepreneurs under Central Food Wholesale Co., Ltd., part of Central Retail, revealed five food businesses poised to gain from the Jae Festival 2026, with made-to-order restaurants leading the way. The company is accelerating product and supply chain management despite flooding, especially sourcing alternative vegetable supplies from farmers to keep stocks flowing throughout the vegetarian observance. It is continuously restocking and partnering with allies to produce vegetarian ingredients and offer special promotions that help entrepreneurs cut costs across all vegetarian product lines. Most recently, it teamed up with the Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce, to launch the 'Thai Helps Thai: Merit and Value, Jae Festival 2026' event, opened by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Supanní Sutthamphan, alongside Permanent Secretary Poonpong Nainapakorn and Director-General of the Department of Internal Trade Wattanasak Suea-iam, who toured Go Wholesale's vegetarian products booth, welcomed by Orrawan Sirichotirat, Senior Executive Vice President of Corporate and Government Relations at Central Retail Food. Sunny Siddik, Executive Vice President of Merchandise Management for the Wholesale Business at Central Food Wholesale Co., Ltd., said that although Thailand is still facing floods in many areas, the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce's Center for Economic and Business Forecasting estimates that this year’s Jae Festival will still be lively, with projected cash flow of 46.913 billion baht, up 2.2% from last year, the highest in six years. This presents an important opportunity for entrepreneurs seeking income during the festival. Go Wholesale has taken proactive steps in managing products and supply chains to continuously replenish stock to meet rising demand. 'During this Jae Festival, Go Wholesale prioritizes supplying enough goods for entrepreneurs and general consumers (Seasonal Demand), whether vegetables, food ingredients, processed foods, ready-to-eat chilled and frozen foods, soy milk, agricultural protein, and various seasonings. We found five types of food businesses aiming to boost sales from this festival after placing orders for vegetarian ingredients to prepare: made-to-order restaurants, general restaurants, noodle shops, coffee‑bakery shops, and curry‑rice stalls.' He added that despite the flood crisis affecting vegetable farmers, Go Wholesale has proactively managed products and supply chains, seeking alternative sources, especially leafy vegetables from farms in Ayutthaya, Nonthaburi and Pathum Thani provinces that were hit, by securing supplies from Nakhon Pathom, Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi provinces to maintain uninterrupted stock throughout the festival, including cabbage, Chinese kale, kale, bok choy, Chinese spinach, pumpkin, taro, and all kinds of mushrooms. 'Go Wholesale understands the demand that arises during the Jae Festival, especially entrepreneurs needing ingredients, seasonings and more at cost‑effective prices they can manage efficiently. Therefore we have partnered with ally brands across all product groups—for example, condiments, soy milk—selecting over 153 items to offer special promotions under the "Jae Festival Merit" campaign.'
