Siam Amazing Park Flooded After Heavy Rain in Bangkok
Siam Amazing Park in Bangkok was flooded after heavy rain, with water reaching waist height in under three hours. Only four of many ride motors were saved before the water overwhelmed the site, damaging spare parts and a forklift. The park is awaiting drainage assistance while evaluating employee support measures during a possible temporary closure.
On October 3, 2069, following heavy rain throughout September 25 in the Khet Kannyayao district, Siam Amazing Park experienced severe flooding. Executive Atthachai Lueangamornlert said that after rain on the evening of September 24, water levels were normal but a flash‑flood warning was issued, prompting four technicians to monitor the site overnight. Around midnight the situation became critical; by 02:00 they started removing ride motors, salvaging only four before water reached waist level at 03:00, rapidly inundating the park. Initial surveys show extensive damage to the warehouse storing imported and spare ride parts, with large motors and a forklift completely submerged. The park ordered a full power cut to prevent electric shock. Although the park cannot pump water out yet because the public canals are still full, the Khet Kannyayao district office has provided pumps to assist. Management says it is still reviewing plans to support employees if the park must close temporarily.
