Singer Candy Criticizes Record Label For Promoting Viral Star
Singer Candy Rakchaen criticized a record label for signing viral sensation "Pink Bed" as a recording artist, questioning how someone could become a professional singer based on scandal rather than talent and training.
Singer Candy Rakchaen has voiced strong criticism over a record label signing a woman known as "Pink Bed" (the subject of a 70 million-view viral video) as a recording artist. Candy posted a video saying she was confused about what was happening in the music industry, questioning how someone could become a singer just from being in a viral scandal.
In her social media post, Candy stated: "I'm so confused. Just having a scandal and you become a singer? What's happening to our world?" She emphasized that while she understands others like Faridah may have made it into the industry, the Pink Bed situation doesn't sit right with her.
Candy, who has trained extensively under her mother Baan Yen Rakchaen to become a professional singer, expressed her concerns to the record label directly. "I was planning to return to singing, but I'm confused about what the world has become," she said in the video. "We trained hard, practiced repeatedly. Now someone just needs to be a scandal and they become a singer?"
Candy appealed to the music industry to respect the profession of singing. "I want to ask the record label to give respect to the singing profession. Being a singer requires talent and ability, not just publicity," she concluded, expressing worry about returning to the music industry under such circumstances.
