Singer Dom Calls Out Foreign Teens for Loud, Disrespectful Behavior on Bangkok BTS
Foreign teenagers were called out on social media for being loud and disrespectful to Thai passengers on a Bangkok BTS train, prompting singer Dom Pakorn to condemn their behavior and call for widespread exposure of the incident.
A viral TikTok video has sparked online outrage after foreign teenagers were caught being loud and disrespectful toward Thai passengers on the BTS Skytrain. When the person recording asked them to lower their voices, a young woman in the group claimed they hadn't decided where to go next and were still discussing it. The Thai passenger replied that they could talk, but at normal volume like Thai people do, without shouting. The foreign woman then responded sarcastically, "Sorry for bringing money to your country," before laughing mockingly. Members of the foreign group also made racist hand gestures, fueling the controversy.
Singer Dom Pakorn Lum reposted the video with a message stating: "There are plenty of respectful foreign tourists who follow Thai rules, but groups like this with such bad character must be exposed and condemned to the fullest. Please share widely so the world knows." He added a quip suggesting they "deserve to meet Sukhumvit Soi 11 models."
Following the post's spread, many Thai commenters expressed outrage, with some calling the foreigners disrespectful and uncivilized, while others suggested reporting the incident to the Italian embassy. Thai netizens largely sided with the passenger, emphasizing that such behavior should not be tolerated in Thailand.
