Six-Wheel Truck Crushes Motorcyclist En Route to Job Interview
A 30-year-old woman died after her motorcycle skidded on roadside gravel and she was thrown under a six-wheel truck in Chachoengsao. She and her 22-year-old friend were on their way to a job interview when loose stones caused the bike to lose control. The truck driver, delivering flood relief water, said he could not brake in time to avoid the accident.
The truck driver, 57-year-old Chan, told police he was traveling from Pathum Thani delivering drinking water to assist flood victims in Bang Kla District when he reached the intersection on a green light. He drove through normally before the motorcyclist came from the left, lost control, fell and slid under the vehicle. Chan said he tried to brake but could not stop in time. Officers have taken Chan to Mueang Chachoengsao Police Station for further questioning to gather evidence and proceed with legal action.
