Siam Kubota Corporation Managing Director Kazunori Tani presided over the opening of the "SKC Supplier Golf 2026: Charity and Connecting" tournament at Thana City Golf Course last week. The event aimed to strengthen relationships between the company, parts manufacturers, and business partners while channeling charitable aid to society through a golf fundraiser.

For this tournament, Siam Kubota Corporation and its supplier network donated a combined 500,000 baht: 300,000 baht to Khlong Luang Hospital to support medical services and patient care, and 200,000 baht to the Ban Bang Lamung Boys' Home to support welfare, education, and quality-of-life development for children and youth with disabilities, giving them opportunities to grow with dignity. This collaboration reflects Siam Kubota and its partners' commitment to conducting business alongside social responsibility, leveraging partner networks to deliver tangible assistance in health and youth opportunity. The focus aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through Siam Kubota's four key pillars: food security, community and social development, education and youth promotion, and environmental stewardship, in line with the "Charity and Connecting" concept that links friendship on the golf course with sharing and public benefit.

The friendly golf competition attracted about 180 participants in a warm, convivial atmosphere. On-course activities were filled with fun and camaraderie, giving Siam Kubota executives and suppliers a chance to play together, exchange perspectives, and deepen acquaintances. Each round offered challenges in strategy, skill displays, and mutual encouragement, with sportsmanship creating a memorable spirit throughout. The event also fostered partner relationships through shared time on the course and experience sharing, building familiarity and understanding before a dinner that extended the networking and reflections on the activity, highlighting golf's role in connecting people and strengthening cooperative networks.

Siam Kubota thanked all 158 partners who participated and have continuously supported the company, pledging to continue the annual charity golf tournament to grow business relationships alongside ongoing social contributions. The event was managed by WELOVEGOLF, a full-service golf event specialist, which applied its tournament management expertise to oversee planning, preparation, on-course coordination, participant facilitation, and smooth activity sequencing. With attention to detail and understanding of the organizer's goals, WELOVEGOLF helped create an impressive experience while supporting the event as a meaningful platform for business networking and social giving.

Thai Sang Thai Urges Bangkok Plan Review Over Flood Risks

The Thai Sang Thai Party has formally objected to Bangkok's new Comprehensive Plan (4th revision), warning that removing flood retention areas (monkey cheeks) and shrinking floodways will permanently increase flood risk for the capital. The complaint, filed by former leader Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan, cites proven success of King Rama IX's monkey cheek projects and argues that giant tunnels cannot function without upstream water storage. The party demands the Governor preserve at least 6 million cubic meters of retention capacity and protect floodways on both riverbanks.
