Social Security Board Election Now Open Without Registration
Eligible employers and insured workers can now vote in Thailand's Social Security board election on September 27, 2026, without pre-registration, with candidate lists to be announced August 19.
The Social Security Office announced on August 15, 2026, that its election committee has voted to streamline voting procedures for the Social Security board election. Employers and insured workers who meet eligibility requirements can now cast votes for their respective representatives without completing a separate registration process. The change follows a review by Thailand's Central Administrative Court.
The election for employer and worker representatives to the Social Security board will proceed as scheduled on Sunday, September 27, 2026. Candidate lists from both sides will be announced on August 19, 2026. The Social Security Office will publish voter eligibility lists and polling locations by late August 2026 through its website at www.sso.go.th.
Eligible voters can verify their status using the e-Service system for employers, the e-Self service system for insured workers, and the SSO Plus mobile application. The office will also send SMS notifications to those with registered phone numbers. Additional information is available through regional Social Security offices nationwide, the Election Management Center at 0-2956-2929 during business hours, or the 24-hour Social Security hotline 1506 (press 9). The Social Security Office Secretary Kanjana Pul Kaew urged all eligible voters to participate in the election, scheduled for September 27, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
