The Suan Kularb College Nonthaburi girls' volleyball team is ready to carry on its legacy of success as it prepares for the Western Zone 1 regional round of the PMYC U15 tournament. The team has historically been among Thailand's elite, producing numerous national team players under former Thai national coach Samoe Thongdonon, including stars like Anna Phayachinda, Malinee Kongtan, the twins Jomjom-Saranaya and Laddawan Srisakorn, followed by Toy-Patcharee Sangmuang and Pui-Rattanaporn Sanuanram, and more recently Omsin-Sasiprapha Chantavisut. Inspired by this heritage, the current U15 squad dreams of following their seniors into the national team. They advanced to the regional round after finishing as Nonthaburi provincial runners-up. Under head coach 'Coach Thep' Suthep Thongsee, who has led the team for over 10 years, the squad consists mostly of first-year students with a few second-years, many competing for the first time. To prepare, they held joint training sessions with the Ang Thong Sports School team to build experience, targeting a rematch against six-time Nonthaburi champions Nakorn Nont Wittaya. Coach Thep confidently stated the ultimate goal is to reach the national championship finals, believing the team still has untapped potential to showcase in the upcoming regional round. The Western Zone 1 regional competition features champions and runners-up from six provinces — Nonthaburi, Samut Sakhon, Suphan Buri, Nakhon Pathom, Chai Nat, and Samut Prakan — and will be held in Samut Prakan from October 25 to 31.
