Ban Nong Maka School in Nong Maka subdistrict, Kok Charoen district, Lopburi province, is sending its U15 boys' volleyball team to the Prime Minister's Youth Cup, aiming for the students to showcase their abilities and represent Lopburi at the national level. The school emphasizes sports alongside academics, and students' enthusiasm for volleyball led to the establishment of a boys' volleyball team. Despite being located over 100 kilometers from Lopburi city and having only around 140 students, the school selected athletes based on genuine passion for the sport.
Coach Kanokpol Pongsaichachai, who teaches art, brings extensive experience to the role. Though his primary profession is teaching art, he is a former competitive volleyball player who competed in provincial and national tournaments before being assigned to lead the school's boys' volleyball team.
Coach Kanokpol expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming competition: "When the students learned we were entering the Prime Minister's Youth Cup, everyone was thrilled. We don't have many competition opportunities, so this is another chance for them to demonstrate their abilities." The competition will reveal whether the coach's expertise can guide the young players from Ban Nong Maka School toward their goal of representing Lopburi in the national championships.
