A 19-year-old man died after his bronze Mitsubishi sedan veered off Highway 226 in Nakhon Ratchasima and collided with a high-voltage power pole on August 13 at 11:30 a.m. Officers from Chakarat Police Station responded to the crash near the Hin Khon subdistrict office at kilometer marker 49+500 on Petchmatakulai Road. The vehicle was completely crushed, with the front end collapsed into the cabin and the bumper torn away. The driver's body was found trapped behind the steering wheel. Rescue volunteers from Unit 31 used cutting equipment to remove the body, which was later identified as Thanakrit, 19 years old. The body was taken to Chakarat Hospital. Initial investigation indicates the driver was traveling alone at high speed toward Nakhon Ratchasima when the vehicle lost control and crashed. Police will continue investigating by interviewing witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage to determine the exact cause.
