Thai Ice Hockey Association President Krisada Kasemsan welcomed Roman Rotenberg, Vice President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation and head coach of the Russian national team, for discussions on developing ice hockey in both nations, emphasizing a foundation for young Thai athletes. The meeting covered youth development strategies, coaching expertise, and Russian training methodologies. Additionally, the Russian squad conducted a hockey clinic to impart skills and experience to Thai youth and competed in a friendly game to foster goodwill between the two countries. Kasemsan noted the opportunity for young Thais to train with a global powerhouse is a major milestone, allowing them to absorb real-world experience and adapt Russian development approaches. The key outcome is a framework for supporting and promoting youth ice hockey in Thailand through bilateral cooperation, including exchanges of coaching knowledge, training techniques, and age-specific athlete development. This partnership marks another important step for Thai ice hockey in opening doors for youth to learn from world leaders and apply that experience to future Thai athletes.
