On July 24, 2025, a second lieutenant serving as deputy commander of the 4511 Ranger Company, Special Task Unit, 45th Ranger Regiment, was found dead in his private quarters at a military base in Ban Samao, Bongo Subdistrict, Rangae District, Narathiwat Province.
