The Royal Thai Armed Forces and the Royal Thai Police have readied crisis response plans for the escalating conflict in the Middle East, including the potential evacuation of Thai nationals from high-risk areas. On October 29, 2026, at the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, General Nattapong Prakaew, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, briefed reporters after a meeting of service commanders chaired by General Ukrit Bunthannont, the Supreme Commander, regarding the monitoring of the Middle East conflict. The military has coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to assist citizens if a crisis erupts. Contingency plans are already in place for air evacuations, extraction of people from risk areas, and designated rendezvous points in coordination with the Royal Thai Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. When asked about the current threat assessment level, General Nattapong stated that no green, yellow, or red alert level has been assigned yet, but preparations are complete and forces stand ready to execute their mission without complacency.
