The Thai Para delegation set a goal of securing no fewer than 27 gold medals at the upcoming Asian Para Games in Nagoya, Japan, matching the haul from the fourth edition in Hangzhou, China, where they earned 27 gold, 26 silver and 55 bronze to finish seventh overall. The Sports Authority of Thailand, together with the National Paralympic Committee and four disability sport associations, will send 265 athletes and 147 officials, a total of 412 participants, to compete in all 18 sports. The team will fly on two chartered Thai Airways flights departing Suvarnabhumi Airport on October 11, 2026 — TG8092 at 09:00 and TG8094 at 09:30 — bound for Nagoya. Governor Prodporn Samanmit explained the early arrival is required because the Asian Paralympic Committee mandates that all teams arrive two days before competition, with classification checks taking place from October 13 to 15. Preliminary events in badminton, blind football, taekwondo and wheelchair basketball begin on October 16, goalball follows on October 17, and the official opening ceremony is scheduled for October 18.
