Thai Royals Extend Compassion to School Shooting Victims
The Thai King and Queen have extended royal patronage to victims of a shooting at Thepsirin School in Nonthaburi on August 7, providing medical care for the injured and financial assistance for funeral arrangements of the deceased.
On August 8, 2025, the Royal Palace announced that His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen have been following and expressing concern over the shooting incident that occurred on August 7, 2025, at Thepsirin School in Nonthaburi, which resulted in injuries and fatalities. In response, His Majesty has graciously accepted all injured victims of the incident as royal patients under royal patronage and accepted the bodies of the deceased into royal care. For the deceased Somchit Yimruang and Phortip Yimruang, His Majesty has granted financial assistance for funeral arrangements and authorized cremation as a special case, and has instructed that wreaths from both His Majesty and Her Majesty be placed at the coffins of the deceased.
