Thailand's Securities Depository detected a data breach affecting user personal information in its investor portal on July 26, though trading systems and assets remained secure.
Thailand Securities Depository (TSD) announced on July 26 that it detected unauthorized access to personal information of users in its TSD Investor Portal system, resulting in a partial data leak. TSD immediately blocked access to the affected system and stopped the data breach, while also strengthening cybersecurity monitoring measures. Following discovery of the incident, TSD followed legal procedures, including reporting to relevant regulatory authorities and notifying potentially affected data owners. The company confirmed that the incident did not impact securities trading, financial information, or assets under TSD's safekeeping. TSD recommends users exercise caution regarding suspicious emails, SMS messages, and phone calls attempting to solicit information, and avoid clicking links or sharing passwords and personal data with unknown sources.
