Thai Sprinter Phuriphol Clocks 9.99 Seconds in 100m
Thai sprinter Phuriphol Bunsorn clocked 9.99 seconds in the 100 meters at a Czech Republic competition, while teammates also posted personal bests in women's events during the national team's training camp.
"Biw" Phuriphol Bunsorn posted a strong 9.99-second time in the men's 100 meters at a summer athletics competition held in the Czech Republic as part of Thailand's national team training camp. The Velká cena Litomyšle letní mítink event in Prague served as a tuneup competition for the Thai track and field squad. In the men's 100m, Phuriphol won with 9.99 seconds, followed by "Ot" Thawatchai Himaeiad in 10.37 seconds and "Fighter" Nathawat Iemuddom in 10.51 seconds. The women's 100m saw "Too" Sukhanda Petchraksa win in 11.43 seconds (a personal best, improving on her previous 11.57), "Belle" Jiraphuch Khanchoentaha second in 11.49 seconds (also a personal best, down from 11.55), and "Naan" Suphanic Poolgert third in 11.59 seconds (a season's best, improving from 11.77).
