The Thai women's volleyball team advanced to the bronze-medal match at the 2026 Asian Games against South Korea after losing to China in the semifinals. After the semifinal match concluded, captain Chompoo posted on Instagram suggesting this Asian Games may be her last. The 33-year-old volleyball player shared a photo from the competition with a message saying, "You all are so talented. I'm so proud of everyone. I'll miss this atmosphere for a long time." Chompoo also tagged teammate Beam Pimpichaya Gokhram in another post, saying, "You didn't abandon me. I never abandoned you. Remember that! And don't abandon this team." Thailand's women's volleyball team will compete in the third-place match against South Korea at 2 p.m.
